Optimal guided search based on average discovering time for phased array radar

Aimed at optimizing the guided search with forewarning information for phased array radar, this paper builds the target's average discovering time model based on the probability of the target locating at each beam position. The optimal search parameters are got under the condition of single target and multi-targets respectively. Simulations prove that this optimal method achieves better search performance than the traditional sequential scanning.
