Implementation of testing and simulation of PIM-SM multicast for ship data network

The goal of the Ship Data Network is to provide a broadband infrastructure as naval ships for convergence of real-time voice, data and video applications. Multicast of the data, voice and video from single source equipment to multiple equipment consumes less bandwidth. Unicast of data, voice, video will consume a lot of bandwidth of a network. So, a multicast philosophy and design that limits the bandwidth of the network is applied for the SDN. OPNET modeler simulates the Multicast of data, voice and video application for SDN topology with QOS limit. Spirent Test Centre [STC] is the testing equipment used for performing various multicast tests of SDN network.
