Cyber security and resilience It's all about governance

There is growing concern that too many boards still take a head in the sand approach to cyber security that it 'can't happen to us' or that the IT department will deal with it. However, with cyber crime increasing, and cyber security increasingly being considered an integral part of national security, technically-driven defence with inadequate focus on key assets, planning and governance cannot continue. Cyber security is now a major governance issue for boards. Governments, regulators, customers and shareholders are all looking to boards to take the lead on this vital issue. The consequences of not doing so may be dire.
