If you greeted the arrival of the iPhone 5S with a yawn or a snort of derision then you were not alone. Plenty of people did. It seemed barely to differ from the iPhone 5. It had a new operating system, I suppose, but you could load that onto your old iPhone anyway. Which I did, and then convinced myself it was as good as having a new phone.
