A voxel-based visualization pipeline for high-resolution geometry
Matthäus G. Chajdas · 2015
Visualization of very large meshes and iso-surfaces is still a challenge in the rendering community. In general, a long pre-processing phase is required before the object can be inspected. This thesis describes a novel, optimized visualization pipeline for extremely large meshes. It combines an efficient voxel-based representation with a highly scalable, rasterizer-based rendering framework, making it possible to inspect even the largest meshes within minutes on desktop hardware.
