Adviser for Energy Consumption Management: Green Energy Conservation

The increased power consumption of High Performance Computing (HPC) systems together with the rising electricity costs make energy efficiency one of the top priorities when designing and expanding modern HPC data centers. This dissertation proposes a framework, referred to as Energy Consumption Management Adviser (ECMA), for monitoring all the relevant data center components and for predicting the power/energy consumption of various applications. This will allow HPC data centers to use advanced power and energy capping for the reduction of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
