In the present article, we propose a method for generation of rules on genes mediating the development of human lung adenocarcinoma. The method involves the application of cyclic loess normalization technique followed by the incorporation of the fuzzy sets low, medium and high. Linguistic rules are generated on the gene expression values. The system has been successfully applied on a microarray gene expression data consisting of expression values of 7129 genes in 10 normal and 86 tumor samples. In our results we have found that nine genes, including RPLP0, ADH1, UGB, FMO2, HBA2, SFTPA1, SFTPA2, HBB are the most significant mediating the development of lung adenocarcinoma. The results are in accordance with a number of earlier investigations
