Real-time multi-microcomputer architecture employing a fully parallel crossbar switch
William C. McDonald, M.W. Beasley · OSTI OAI (U.S. Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information) · 1983
The architecture and organization of a multimicrocomputer system employing a fully parallel crossbar switch are described. The design provides a flexible system applicable to a wide range of real-time control and data acquisition problems. The system logic has been partitioned into eight board types that permit easy configuration of a variety of systems employing different numbers of processing elements, I/O processors, and sharable memories. 7 references.
