W14-(1) Human Modeling for Visual Object Recognition

Yoshihiko Nomura · The Reference Collection of Annual Meeting · 2005

Computer vision is a general term for a technique that imitates human visual processing. In this paper, the author presents some of overview on the computer vision, especially, from the viewpoint of the three dimension measurement and the object recognition techniques. After introducing 3D-2D transform, various object recognition techniques are explained: a 3D model based structural matching, a 3D model based synthesized image matching, and a view-model based image matching.
