The Internet of Things (IoT) envisions the notion of ubiquitous connectivity of everything.This combines many technologies.Since millions of devices are going to be connected important factor in IoT.In order to increase the life time of a sensor node, energy must be saved at different levels.This paper proposes Energy Efficient Transmission Based Routing (E range or coverage for its parent selection in this process.The energy consumption is reduced in comparison with the existing methods.
