Most of the computer science programs require the student to take a capstone course in their curriculum. This paper gives an introduction to an Agile approach used in student's capstone class. Agile project management has been proved to be successful in small size projects because of its characteristics of adaptive planning, evolutionary development, and flexible response to changes. In the capstone class, students learned about Scrum methodology and implemented them when they worked on their group project. Some of the project ideas come from faculties and supervisors based on real requirements, which triggered great interests among students to work on them. We discuss insights we observed over two semesters and present recommendations that may be helpful for those who are interested in incorporating similar approaches in their capstone class. Overall, the final yield of the class turns out to be quite promising. One of the projects was adopted by the university and released to more than ten thousands of students.
