In this paper, we study the action of the Modular Group G = � x,y : x 2 = y 3 =1 � on Q ∗ ( √ n ) when n � 0( mod 2p). We find that there exist two G-subsets of Q ∗ ( √ n )i fn is a quadratic residue or quadratic non-residue modulo 2p and there exist four G-subsets of Q ∗ ( √ n ) when n ≡ p (mod 2p).
