Un micro-système-auteur pour tests en BASIC

Jean-Paul Teytaud · Les Cahiers de l APLIUT · 1989

If an all-purpose program simplifies the teacher's task by running both multiple choice and completion tests (Cahiers de l 'APLIUT, # 33), there remains the long, irksome task of preparing the files or data lines to feed it. Typing the text of the items is not enough. If the display is to be correct, the caesuras in the right place, the control variables right, typing errors amended, trial runs and checks must be multiplied. This is just what an authoring program makes easy. It will help adjust the display for an 80-or 40-column screen, justify lines, emphasize important words, insert a cap or a comma. It will ask for the number of blanks or proposals, and finally register the completed work either as automatically numbered lines or in a disc file. It will be possible to reopen an existing file, modify it, add new items, borrow from another file, change the proposed answers or scoring scheme, etc. Numbered data lines can be turned into a disc file and vice versa. The explanations given aim at enabling the user to adapt the program to his own needs and to use different Basics and machines.
