Information Requirement Elicitation (IRE) is a new approach in m-commerce to help consumers search supplier information in a way analogous to the way in which people ask others for information in daily life.Based on Activity Theory, this article analyzes these information inquiry activities and discusses information transformations and rules involved.Then, it discusses key affordances of IRE-enabled systems as implementation principles.
