In recent years, as social network services and online shopping have been available on smartphone, owner authentication which certifies the person who is operating on the smartphone is indispensable for secure transactions. For this purpose, we have investigated an authentication scheme using the touching information of signature/sign on smartphone. In the scheme, simple features such as a set of touching durations of strokes, and a set of directions of segments extracted from each strokes are used. According to the experimental results using Japanese sign with two characters on smartphone, 7.1% of averaged EER for 10 subjects is obtained.
