: A computer based interactive instruction for a first introduction to Matlab has been developed and stored on CD-Rom. The program integrates Matlab and the authoring program Medi8or, so an active use of the Matlab command window is combined with text and speaks. A specially developed Web-based computer conference system was used for enrolment, discussion forum, help from the teacher etc. This system was also applied for a student evaluation of the instruction by completing a questionnaire.
