Variations of resonance frequencies of a cylindrical coaxial resonator with the inner conductor diameter jump are investigated. The change limits for geometrical dimension of the microwave resonator providing its single-mode oscillation of type H 011 are determined. The expediency of practical application of the cylindrical microwave resonator with the aforementioned inner conductor shape for frequency tuning in displacement meters is shown.
