On Specifying the Functional Design for a Protected DMS Tool

Abstract : A top level functional design for a secure relational data base system is described, which addresses the multi-level data sharing problem. The system consists essentially of isolated user working areas, hidden security kernel mechanisms, and a multi-level data base. Mathematical (Parnas) specifications are included for all primitive functions of the secure DMS.
