Selective video encryption using Sattolo's encryption technique

Exponential rate of populating the internet with multimedia like image, audio, video, etc is raising a deep concern over the security of the content. Providing security itself is a heavyweight task when the entire content is to be secured. In this work, an approach to detect and encrypt the face region in a video is presented with the analysis. Face region in a frame of video is detected by using the Local Binary Patterns (LBP) and this Region of Interest (ROI) is encrypted using the Sattolo's encryption technique. Experimental results show that the computational complexity is very less and thus it is a lightweight technique.
