Abstract : The Titus light valve is actually a two-dimension analogical memory which is electronically controlled. It is well adapted to flight simulation requirements because it supplies high resolution, high brightness, flicker-free images. The SVS (SODERN Visualization System) uses three Titus light valves to project full color images at 30 Hz rate. Already developed models supply good quality images; further improvements are foreseen in near future, especially for geometrical resolution.
