In this research, an open lecture to improve children's interests to science and engineering was carried out. Low cost sea turtle-like robot and penguin-like robot to fill child's interest for science and engineering were developed and they were distributed to all participants at the open lecture held in 2012. Participants attach their self-made fins to their robots. Result of questionnaires shows that participants were divided into two groups who have interest in engineering (mechanism) and science (how animal and robot swim?).
