A Case Study towards Evaluation of Redundant Multi-Sensor Data Fusion

Abstract. The focus of this case study is the analysis and evaluation of signal level fusion approaches that are common to the domain of commercial vehicles. For this task a Simulink 1 environment for simulating both sensors and fusion algorithms was implemented and several experiments were conducted. Application oriented scenarios were used to deduce guidelines for the optimal usage (and limitations) of these algorithms. 1
