On the couch with Android and Muse: nifty assignment

Evelyn Brannock, Robert Lutz · Journal of computing sciences in colleges · 2016

The InteraXon Muse is a brain computer interface (BCI) device targeted at the fitness app community. InteraXon provides an API for integrating apps with this device, for authoring custom apps in both fitness and non-fitness domains. A library for accessing the Muse device via the Android runtime is provided. Students will modfy an API example to (1) signal gestural events with audio and (2) extend its capabilities by providing richer feedback of accelerometer data. Students enhance the example app for a futuristic droid psychiatrist that is interested in understanding more about a BCI-wearing patient's situation.
