Mining of educational data for analysing students' overall performance

Data Mining is exceptionally helpful when it comes to educational field particularly while examining students' conduct in internet learning environment. This is because of the capability of data mining in breaking down and revealing the shrouded data itself which is tough and exceptionally tedious if only manual work is there without automation. Adoption of numerous techniques and tools of data mining is done by almost all the industries for generating business intelligence so as to improve the process of decision making. And as we come to the educational fields, they also begin to use techniques of data mining, so that they can provide improved services and increase grades and performance of student. The main principle of this paper is to focus on the application area of EDM, where we can apply e-learning.
