has found many applications to data denoising. It has since been extended to translation invariant wavelet shrinkage to relieve artifacts due to shift dependence of the Discrete Wavelet Transform. We present the application of this method as an extension to our previous work [3] with improving the quality of medical ultrasound images. We discuss its merits compared with traditional methods and highlight its application in a medical data visualisation environment.
