Experiencing Automation

This thesis aims to explore and characterize experiences with automation in work-related domains (e.g., factories). Applying ethnographically informed approaches, I explore everyday practices and user experiences related to different facets of automation (e.g., assistive systems, autonomous systems). The gained knowledge will guide and improve future designs of automated systems.
