In this paper, we present a literature review of questionnaires and modern techniques in general that are used in education. Extracting data from tutoring procedures is mainly based on static questionnaires. They are used to examine cognitive, learning styles, affective state, motivation, satisfaction and curriculum. In addition they are used to assess new tutoring methods. Nowadays, conventional teaching is gradually replaced by e-learning, due to modem portable devices. Thus, teaching is not necessarily confined in a classroom any more and students are familiar with distant learning. The last hugely significant field that is mentioned, is associated with neural networks and their implementation. Neural networks have been used for several issues in education, but as it appeared they haven't been exploited enough.
