Summary Due to kinds of electromagnetic interference in the city, the effectiveness of traditional geophysical exploration methods is barely satisfactory in urban archeology. In order to solve this problem, we use pseudo-random Geoelectric Sounding (PRGS) method in this urban archaeological exploration in Beijing. The PRGS method has the advantage of super anti-interference ability and can acquire useful information in single measurement which helps the archaeological team staff locate the underground ancient tombs.
