A comparative study of the Quality Assurance feature in SDL Trados and Multitrans in the context of the World Intellectual Property Organization

The research evaluates the Quality Assurance feature available in SDL Trados and Multitrans based on specific criterias identified and selected at WIPO according to their needs and expected results. The first part of the thesis gives an overview presentation of WIPO. The second defines the quality in translation and what the quality assurance checker aims to identify and how CAT tools help in automazing this process. The third part presents the methodology followed for the comparison and the aspects covered. The fourth part presents the tests carried and the results collected.
