Analysis of power amplifier nonlinearity in cognitive radio networks

Arpita Shukla · 2016

In this paper, the power allocation in cognitive radio networks is studied by considering the power amplifier non linearity causing adjacent channel interference to the primary receivers and disturbing the received signal to noise ratio in the secondary receivers. Dynamic range of the power amplifier is assumed to be limited. Throughput is derived for probability of data transmission between the secondary users as a function of interference temperature limits of primary users. Performance analysis is accomplished for both average adjacent channel interference power constraints and peak ones. It can be observed that the efficiency can be increased after increasing the interference temperature limit.
