Notice of Violation of IEEE Publication Principles"A Mitigation Strategy for Primary User Emulation Attacks in Cognitive Radio Networks"by S. V. Vidhya Harini, T. Arunain the Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Control (ISCO), January 2016After careful and considered review of the content and authorship of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE’s Publication Principles. This paper copied text from the paper cited below. The original text was copied without attribution (including appropriate references to the original author(s) and/or paper title) and without permission."Defense Against Primary User Emulation Attacks in Cognitive Radio Networks Using Advanced Encryption Standard"by Ahmed Alahmadi, Mai Abdelhakim, Jian Ren, and Tongtong Liin the IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Volume 9, Number 5 May 2014, pp. 772-781This paper provides a cryptographic technique that enhances the security performance of cognitive radio networks by mitigating primary user emulation attacks. The technique combines Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to provide integrity and authentication which in turn increases the security performance of cognitive radio networks. Performance metrics such as false alarm rate and miss detection probability has been considered for analysis. MATLAB R2010a tool has been used to analyze the technique.
