R1 computer, close view of tape, Rice University
Bob Roosth · 1970
A close-up view of the reel of tape used on one of the columnar data tape drives for Rice University’s R1 computer. The tape is labeled “Pubic sys. tp. 1/24/69”. What looks like two puncture holes are gunshot stickers stuck on the glass. Photograph taken by Bob Roosth. Original resource is a black and white photograph.
