Software Size Determination and Effort Estimations in the FSSM

Jasveer Singh · 2017

The calculations for the Software Size and Effort Estimations (SSEEs) are performed by using the Software Component's Feature Measurements (SCFMs) and Software Component's Measurements (SCMs). This chapter presents the description and formulae for the SSEEs. The software size determination, development effort estimation, and software performance characteristics related with the static structure and dynamic execution are an integral part in the FSSM. Their calculations are based on the measurements of the components and their features. The SCFMs, which are used to calculate the SCMs, are also used, along with the SCMs, for the calculation of the 4 SSEEs about the software logical size and development effort. The chapter provides the contents, and relationships and information flow in the contents of the following constituents of the FSSM: SCFMs, SCMs, and SSEEs.
