Satyaapan: Novel technique for identification using biometric data

Yash Rajan, Jitendra P. Patil · 2016

Identification of a person is a complex task. The traditional technique for identification is verification against a valid ID proof. Physical verification of picture of a person on a valid photo ID proof is a common identification technique. This is definitely not adequate, since ID proofs can be easily forged and duplicated. These days biometric based identification techniques are used to verify identity of persons for entry in restricted areas. Large institutes invest lot of money for such biometric identification systems. In this paper we propose a simple and novel technique, which optimizes the conventional biometric based identification technique and also provides practically unlimited scalability. The new technique will provide a very cost effective solution for deployment of biometric identification systems in the institutes spread over large area.
