Wireless sensor networks consist of a collection of wireless sensor nodes, often pertain mobility. In the environment lack of a prior knowledge, initial sensor nodes deployment usually cannot satisfy the sensing requirement in certain area. The dynamic factors coming from field terrain, sensor nodes lifetime etc put other challenges to the sensor node deployment.A coverage problem appears when some critical sensing phenomenon cannot be acquired. We propose a decentralized control algorithm of repositioning sensor nodes to compensate the limitations of sensor network deployment. It includes local subnet leader electing, critical location predicting, and candidate node repositioning. It is assumed that each sensor node has the identification information of its direct neighboring sensors in a fully connected sensor network. We implement these techniques in Matlab and show how the approach can improve the network performance.
