Blind Equalization and Multi-User Detection in Asynchronous Space-Time Coded CDMA System

Space-time coded CDMA combines the CDMA technique and space-time signaling techniques.In this thesis, we consider the blind multiuser detection problem for asynchronous CDMA systems operating in a multipath environment using multiple transmit and receive antennas.The Alamouti scheme and a more general 3 by 4 scheme are considered.Using only the spreading code of the desired user, a blind minimum mean square error (MMSE) detector will be obtained without explicit channel estimation.Corresponding batch and adaptive algorithms are developed.Simulations are performed that verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.
