Fundamentals of Elementary Particle Physics
G. Barton · Physics Bulletin · 1973
Michael J Longo London: McGraw-Hill 1973 pp xiii + 226 price £440 This is one of the rare and welcome books on high energy physics which limit their demands on the reader's time and credulity, both, to what is realistic in an undergraduate physics course. In fact it is on the easy side by this standard; on the technical side it touches lightly on relativistic kinematics, the Golden Rule, scattering theory, isospin, and SU(3), but instead of stretching a final year undergraduate to the full on any of these topics, it prefers to take him over much wider ground at a brisk enjoyable gallop.
