Melvin A Breuer (ed) London: Pitman 1977 ( first published in USA 1976) pp xiii + 417 price £13.95 These three books form part of a series on digital systems design which contains textbooks, collections of review papers and bibliographies. The first two, along with another which was not supplied for review, Theory and Design of Switching Circuits by Friedman and Menon, could provide a sound basis for the study of switching systems at an advanced level, but would probably be over-complex and too detailed for students not treating digital techniques as a major part of their studies.
