File-sharing is an important feature for web real-time applications. The traditional way of implement file-sharing is uploading files to file server by a sender, then receivers can download and display on browsers in time. With the increasing awareness of the data security, the way hosting file data by a third party server can not meet the needs of users. Discarding the server side seems like a good idea, then file data can be send directly among browsers, but there is no pure web technique can achieve the function of peer-to-peer connection until Web Real-Time Communication technology(WebRTC). We design and implement a file sharing strategy among browsers by WebRTC and related HTML5 technology. Experimental result indicates that our method achieve efficient transmission performance.
