Nordic Atlas of Linguistic Structures (NALS)

Janne Bondi Johannessen, Øystein Alexander Vangsnes · 2009

The Nordic Atlas of Linguistic Structures (NALS) consists of articles on a wide array of syntactic phenomena, and all have their empirical basis in the Nordic Syntax Database, with additional evidence from the Nordic Dialect Corpus. The idea of the NALS web site is similar to that of the The World Atlas of Language Structures (WALS) in that we present maps for separate linguistic phenomena. In our talk we will first show some of the Nordic Syntax Database, and then introduce The Nordic Atlas of Linguistic Structures (NALS).
