WMF 5.0 and DSC for Linux

Ravikanth Chaganti · Apress eBooks · 2014

Desired State Configuration (DSC) is in its early stages of evolution. This is a feature built into the operating system (OS), starting from Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1. It is available for down-level operating systems, such as Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012, as Windows Management Framework 4.0. As with any other software release, while providing a great start, some features of DSC have limitations. Windows Management Framework 5.0 will address some of these limitations, while enhancing the overall DSC functionality. At the time of writing, the WMF 5.0 preview was available for Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
