Optimization of video coding based on robust motion estimation

The focus of this work is to investigate robust motion estimation in video coding system. Robust motion estimation, some borrowed from the statistics literatures and others described in the computer vision literatures, is an emerging technique which processes robustness against outliers, i.e., is not sensitive to large noise.
