RECONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES FOR SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE
S. Rajeshwari, L I Et · 2013
Architecture is important for any application, migration, feature additions and impact analysis. In the initial design separate the as-designed and as-built architectures. In the architecture recovery bottom-up and top-down approaches are used. The draw back with the bottom-up is it requires domain-specific knowledge and time consuming and largely manual. In the clustering technique [5], abstract related sets of artifacts into subsystems. The main drawback is they are automated [6] in a very high degree, and high number of possible false positives that require manual verification. The problem with the top-down exploration tools is that many views on the system generated during the exploration, and subset can only be detected by the individual analysis of each view. Analyze the frequency of occurrence of the proposed [2] patterns in six open-source systems. Software Architecture Reconstruction (SAR) [1] supports organizations in understanding and analyzing software. In Meta model-based SAR, it extracts the design information at architectural level. It is complex to extract architectural components from source code; these are simply mapped to classes, objects, packages or files. Its results are effect at different communities and work on the architectural description languages and maintenance [8].
