‘‘This work is a result of a collaboration between the LEPP laboratory and the ARCHIPEL S.A. company, and is part of the Archipel Parallel Computing Concept presented below. We have developed a Transputer based board for VMEbus systems with a dual‐ported memory, and we have written a Unix driver for that board. Several existing tools have been ported. In order to assess the system we used to GEXAM1 benchmark program. The results can be found in this paper.’’ (AIP)
