The in-network data aggregation along with the end to end encryption is very important in resource constrained wireless sensor networks, as it provides an accurate and robust information to the base station by reducing the energy consumption and achieves secure data aggregation. The Concealed Data Aggregation (CDA) techniques achieve these two together. The cryptographic algorithms based on Privacy Homomorphisin (PH) are the basis of most of the CDA techniques, which allows aggregation on encrypted data. Thus there is no need of performing decryptions in aggregator node for the data aggregation. So CDA techniques save the energy of aggregator node and protect the confidentiality of data throughout the network. Among the CDA techniques, symmetric PH based CDA techniques are more feasible in WSNs containing power constrained sensor nodes due to their small kev size. But still there are inanv areas to address more in it. Here, we review some of the concealed data aggregation techniques that optimizes the lifetime of wireless sensor networks by providing secure data aggregation.
