Concurrency problems, such as deadlocks, should be identified before the design process begins. This is very difficult as larger and more complex concurrent systems are being developed. Here we propose an approach, based on the analysis of Unified Modelling Language (UML) that represents the behavioural properties of the system. In this work, we have presented an approach for generating a minimum test suite with maximum coverage. It builds an Input/Output Activity Diagram (IOAD) using UML activity diagram which helps to remove deadlock and reduce complexity in solving complex concurrent systems. It is also user friendly and generates effective test cases.
