Counterproductive work behavior is volitional acts that harm orintend to harm organizations and their stakeholders (for example ,clients, co -workers, customers, and supervisors.Counterproductiveworkbehaviourscostemployersbillionsof dollars annually. There is little research in the human resource professionals regarding thecounter productive work behaviours in the organization. This paper aimstoassess the counter productive work behavior and how the organization deals with the min the case of Sidama Zone Revenue Authority. Specifically, to identify the types, outcomes, causes and management of counterproductive work behaviour in the organization. Inlinewith these, the researcher attempted to investigate the disciplinaryproceduresoftheorganizationrelatedwithcounterproductiveworkbehaviour. Toget the required data the researcherused questionnaires and interview. Questionnaires distributed to th eemployees of the organization in the head office and nine woredas and interview with the managers of human resource department, discipline committee of the organization, and other concerned bodies of the problems under study. Reviewing the company document regarding the issuesis alsoimportantfor the study.The researcher werediscussed the resultby integratedwithliteraturesrelatedwiththevariablesof thestudy.Finally,theresearcher forwardedsomerecommendationbasedontheresultand theproblemidentified.
