We theoretically investigate the spectral entanglement of a multiphoton source generated by cascaded cascade emissions from cold atomic ensembles. This highly directional photon source is guaranteed under the four-wave mixing condition and is also highly frequency-correlated due to finite driving pulse durations and enhanced superradiant decay constants. We can manipulate its entropy of entanglement by controlling the driving parameters and superradiant decay rates, where Schmidt decomposition is utilized to study the projected or collapsed multiphoton spectral functions. This cascaded scheme enables a multiphoton source useful in quantum information processing, and potentially allows for applications in multimode quantum communication and for spectral shaping of high-dimensional continuous frequency entanglement.
