Fault tolerant synchronization of a general complex network with random delay against network coupling faults

Chunxia Fan, Chao Wang · 2016

A fault tolerant synchronization strategy is proposed to synchronize a complex network with random time delays and coupling faults in this paper. Random time delays over the network transmission are described by using Markov chains. The coupling fault occurs when a sensor is disabled. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory and stochastic analysis, a novel passive fault tolerant synchronization strategy is derived when some sensors are out of work. The criterion of fault tolerant synchronization is described in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical simulation is carried out and the results show the validity of the proposed fault tolerant synchronization controller.
