Computer Interface Device for the Handicapped to Use Head Movement

Osamu Takami, Naoki Irie, Takakazu Ishimatsu · Journal of Robotics and Mechatronics · 1997

In this paper the authors propose a computer interface device for the handicapped which enables the operator to communicate with the computer without typing on the computer keyboard. Movements of the head generate input signals from the interface device. The posture and position of the head can be detected using a simple signal processing algorithm.
